Academics

ELA

Our teachers use McGraw Hill: Wonders ELA/ELD program to support our students develop foundational literacy skills and build academic vocabulary. This program is full of print and digital resources that provide unmatched support for building strong literacy foundations, accessing complex texts, writing to sources, and building social emotional learning skills.

Math

Our teachers use Houghton-Mifflin: Go Math program. This program engages students by providing a wealth of differentiated instruction resources across interactive platforms. It helps teachers to differentiate instruction, building and reinforcing foundational math skills that translate from the classroom to real life.

Science

We have adopted a new NGSS based curriculum for science from Twig Science. Teachers have various resources to engage students with exploring the phenomena being studied. Lessons include investigations for student engagement, all aligned to the CA NGSS.

Technology

In Grades Pre-K through 1st students have access to the Primary Center Computer Lab. There are also computers in the classroom for instruction and teacher use, as well as interactive whiteboards. Students have access the STEM lab which they use to engage in coding.

History

Teachers engage students with our newly adopted McGraw Hill: Impact curriculum. Students gain building blocks for critical thinking, develop a strong reading and writing foundation, and learn what it means to be responsible, active citizens. In addition, through Project Based Learning teachers develop authentic, engaging, student centered learning experiences in a project based setting. Teachers incorporate opportunities for students to develop as global citizens by investigating the world, communicating ideas, recognizing different perspectives, and taking action.
